The Titanic - One Hundred Years On

I have always been fascinated by the story of the sinking of the Titanic ever since I first saw the classic film "A Night to Remember" for the first time as a young girl. It was released in 1958 and it is a very accurate rendition of what actually happened on that fateful night in April 1912 when it struck an iceberg.

I have also seen "Titanic" with Kate Winslet and Leonardo di Caprio many times and it is good, but I prefer the original old-fashioned film.

Source of this Titanic image, which is in the public domain, can be found here.

Many books have been written about the Titanic, which sank on April 15h 1912, with the loss of 1,518 passengers.

Below you can see my copy of "The Last Dinner on the Titanic", which is full of pictures and details of that doomed maiden voyage.

Larry Ferlazzo has some very interesting links and resources to do with the Titanic.
Jeffrey Hill of the English Blog has compiled an excellent slideshow of the Titanic Disaster.
